What is an MOT?

• If your bike is LESS than 3 years old, you do not need an MOT.  Instead, you must produce proof of purchase (such as a sales receipt from the bike shop) when applying for Tax.
• If your bike is MORE than 3 years old, your vehicle will need to be mechanically tested each year to check that it is safe to ride on the road. This is called an MOT.
• After your vehicle has passed its MOT and has qualified as ’road worthy’ you will receive an MOT certificate.
